International Research Collaborations
We are interested in fostering and supporting international applications with the Youth Activity Profile (YAP). There are active collaborations in a number of countries already and we welcome more. The YAP software has been designed to facilitate language translations but we need help to initiate some of the translation steps. Once built, the YAP can be more easily used by you and others in your country.
If you are interested in facilitating the application in your country, please join the YAP Research User Group at this link or by completing the form on the "Join Us" tab. There is a specific question about international collaborations and we can follow up with you. A list of current collaborators from different countries is shown below.

Vision and Future Plans
The international collaborations have documented the potential utility of the Youth Activity Profile in different countries using translated versions of the instrument and similar research protocols. The vision is for broader comparisons and cross-cultural studies to enable comparisons of youth activity profiles across the world. We envision following models used to establish the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) and to look for opportunities to fund the international applications.
