Summaries of Current / Past YAP Projects
NFL PLAY 60 FitnessGram ProjectThe FitnessGram NFL PLAY60 FitnessGram Partnership Project is an ongoing collaboration aimed at promoting the adoption and evaluation of NFL PLAY 60 programming in a participatory network of FitnessGram schools. The online YAP tool was used within the project to help schools evaluate school goals of promoting 60 minutes of physical activity a day. See Cooper Institute NFL page for details.

National Cancer Institute (FLASHE)The National Cancer Institute conducted a surveillance project called FLASHE to understand the prevalence and correlates of cancer related behaviors in youth and families. A specific calibration of the YAP was developed for the project to enable linkages with data obtained from monitor-based methods. Visit FLASHE to learn more.

SWITCHSWITCH (School Wellness Integration Targeting Child Health) is a school wellness training initiative of Iowa State University. Refined through a USDA-funded grant, the SWITCH project has utilized the YAP as both a needs assessment tool to guide schools and to capture outcome data on youth behaviors. WellscapesWellscapes is a 'whole of community, multi-level, systems intervention' coordinated by the University of Nebraska Medical Center (UNMC). Through an NIH-funded trial, the project is evaluating strategies to build capacity in communities to improve population health. The YAP has been used as a community indicator and outcome measure.
